More than 60,000 MEA members have requested absentee ballots, and over 12,000 have already completed and returned their ballots, based on publicly available numbers from the Secretary of State.

Voting from home is easy — and much safer than lining up in a crowded voting precinct on Election Day. To get started, www.meavotefromhome.org where you can:
- Complete a quick application to request your ballot. You can fill it out online via the Secretary of State’s office or download an application using our BallotPower tool. (If you choose the latter method, make sure you turn in your application to your local clerk’s office ASAP. Find your clerk here.)
- Using BallotPower, you can sign up for email updates for when your local clerk receives your application, mails you your ballot and receives your completed ballot. You’re in control and up-to-date for every step of the process.
- Receive your ballot in the mail, vote from your couch, and return your ballot to your local clerk as soon as possible. Be sure to either mail your ballot early or drop it off using clerk-provided drop boxes. BallotPower can help you find secure clerk drop boxes in your area.
